The next couple of weeks are going to be quite busy, with National Library Week activities culminating with Library After Dark on Thursday, April 15 (5:30pm to 8pm). It just so happens that there’s going to be an author reading that Thursday as well. If you have a moment during your lunch break, consider stopping by the Drama Lab (room L109), which is just across the way from the library. At noon, Thomas E. Kennedy, internationally acclaimed author and winner of the O. Henry Prize, Pushcart Prize, and National Magazine Award, will read from his newest novel, In the Company of Angels.
Here are some reviews about Kennedy’s In the Company of Angels:
Kirkus Reviews: “… offers two exquisitely crafted characters a chance to explore the legacy of inhumanity and to enact a drama of resilience– redemption, even.”
South Carolina Review: “… a masterpiece.”
The reading is free, so take a moment to stop by.
