Looking for something different for your research? Hunting for articles that might be a little off the beaten path regarding women’s issues? Contemporary Women’s Issues, a great database provided by Harper College Library,  combines mainstream and alternative press publications to give you a wide-range of perspectives. Check them out for informative, thoughtful and ground-breaking writing today. The database is located through Articles & More on the library homepage. A great place to explore during Women’s History Month.

In recognition of Rainbow Week here at Harper, please check out this link to a list of the 50 Greatest LGBT Works of Literature. These books range from classical works, biographies, and fiction to historical accounts and autobiographies. Stop by the reference desk if you would like some help finding any of these books!

Joe Accardi Book Event October 20   Leave a comment

The Harper College Library is proud to sponsor Joe Accardi, author of Beloit’s Club Pop House–Images of America–Wisconsin in the Black Box Theatre, Bldg L at 2PM on October 30.

  Joe Accardi, former Resources for Learning dean, will  be discussing his book concerning 1960s rock ‘n roll in southern Wisconsin. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and Mr. Accardi will be happy to sign your copy! Refreshments will also be served. We hope to see you there!
